Emma Friberg (b.1984) has a BFA and an MFA in ceramics and glass from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.

With her work Emma Friberg juxtapose the ceramic craft and the mineral industry. She follows the geological trails of the material to understand the knowledge of making and material cultures relation to place, land and waste.

Her curiosity towards the raw materials origin has led her to Englands china clay industry, to the dismantled kaolin pit in Bromölla south of Sweden and to Yaoli and the Gaoling mountain in China.
